How to clean your Beauty Sponge in 5 minutes or less
I am guilty of doing one of two things when it comes to cleaning your beauty sponge, either you experienced the struggle of using baby shampoos (or other detergents), to wash your sponge without much success OR you just throw them away. I usually toss them out after I've debated the amount of time it will take me to get it remotely close to looking useable. Most times I just give up and open a new pack. I find myself buying several packs of beauty blenders sometimes on Amazon or TJmaxx makeup aisle.
But guess what?! You don't have to struggle with them or throw them away anymore. I have a hack for you that will revolutionize this lol yes revolutionize!
Quick story: I was talking to my sister about my woes with beauty sponges and how I will go back to using the cheaper foundation wedges so i can easily dispose them, she proceeded to show me her trick to getting her sponges clean and I'm going to share that with you today this process should take you about 3 to 5 minutes.
You will need 4 things
Your dirty beauty sponge(s)
Dr. Bronner's Castile soap bar
Time (3 to 5 minutes of them)
Place your Dr Bronner’s Castile soap bar in lukewarm water to soak your beauty blenders in the soap water.
Now go ahead and wash the beauty blender she squeeze out the squeeze out all the "dirtiness" and your beauty blender.
Rinse out your beauty blenders as much as possible so the water comes out clear this shows you that the make-up or “dirtiness” is no longer on your beauty blender here's some pictures below the demonstrates how you can clean your beauty blender.
Let me know if this works for you :)
Till next time,
